Morgan Lake Wilderness Campground is located in Wayne County, Georgia, our address is listed as Ludowici, but we are closer to Jesup. The park is over 200 acres of woodland but only minutes from shopping, restaurants, and auto service centers. There is easy access by major roadways if you want to see historic Savannah or Saint Simons Island.
Our campground is locally owned and operated, with the family in mind, but we do have areas set aside for adults only. We are a privately owned campground, and there are no restrictions on how long you stay. In fact, we have many long-term guests and an area set aside for just that.
For many years our campground was known as "Morgan Lake Hunting and Fishing Campground". Although we no longer allow hunting on campground property, we are in one of Georgia's richest wildlife management areas. This includes fishing for largemouth bass, brem, crappie, and catfish, and it is well known in this area that many 50lb flathead catfish are waiting to be caught. We have two paved boat ramps with an area for parking. We are building a fishing dock and also will have boat rentals in the near future. Our campground store carries bait, tackle, and other supplies.
We have pull-through sites for RV's with all utilities, as well as an area for tent camping. Hiking trails abound.
